PILATES ROLL BACK WITH THE RING
PILATES ROLL BACK WITH THE RING

Pilates:

Would you like better posture? Looking to reduce your risk of back injury or heal an existing injury. Want to tone and tighten all over? If that sounds like you then pilates is right up your street. Its a series of exercises performed on a mat ( or in a studio with pilates equipment) to strengthen the muscles of the core. It will train your body to move with a greater intellegence. It will correct your bodies movement strategy , releasing tight muscles and waking up dormant ones. Standing with good posture can make you look ten lbs lighter!  Not to mention how you feel when your body is stabilising and moving as mother nature intended. Clare is one of the most experienced pilates educators in the country. She travels internationally to train other instructors in the method and is at the forefront of new developments in the pilates world . Clare is also a specialist in corrective exercise . Mat work classes are based in the Kingfisher Renmore. Private lessons  are available in Clares fully equipped Studio in Oranmore on a one to one basis.

TESTIMONIAL

"To all of you thinking of starting Pilates classes and even for the
sceptics out there, I’m here to reassure you that Pilates is a
godsend! Trust me! Just give it a go! As they say the proof is in the
pudding and I am literally the poster girl for Pilates and with good
reason!-
I’m 29 with the health problems of what some have described as, an
unhealthy  geriatric..or at least I did have before I started Pilates.
I suffer from a neck and back injury as well as pretty major stomach
and bladder issues and I just got to a point where I couldn’t take the
pain(s) any longer. Something had to be done to sort my life out and

eventhough I’m not usually a fan of exercise classes I knew I had to

be willing to try anything to help myself, so I gave Pilates a go.
I’ve completed the beginners’ course with Clare and now I’m embarking
on my second course as..well..to be honest I couldn’t find a reason
to quit!(which is’nt like me)
After each session I began to feel better and in just 6 WEEKS I
noticed a drastic improvement in my symptoms overall, despite being
told by several people prior that it would take at least 6 MONTHS of
classes before I’d notice any change or improvement in my health. That
just goes to show what an excellent  instructor Clare is.
Unlike a previous course I did in Reformer Pilates in which the
instructor put me in with a group of professional athletes, which I
was totally unprepared for and which really exacerbated my back and
neck pain, Clare is so professional. She starts with the basics and
will never push anyone beyond their limits. She’s very thorough and
monitors everyone’s progress very carefully. She has a way of making
the exercises seem easier  and relaxing. She’s VERY patient and
encouraging which is exactly what I needed!
I never realised before that one could go to an exercise class and
actually leave at the end feeling way more relaxed than when they
started! I was just a big ball of tension and pain when I started the
course and now I feel like a different person. I’m even back running
again, which is a real passion of mine. Now that I’ve gained more
strength in my core  and my breathing and posture have improved I’m
actually improving in my running  already, but I know for me
personally, to stay injury free and to keep those I have at bay I’ll
have to persevere with Pilates long-term...and to be honest I’m
delighted. It’s great to have found an exercise class that’s not only
helping my injuries to heal but that I’m actually enjoying too!"
